2011 video game marking the return of the Deus Ex franchise, which had a couple of popular games in the early 2000s. I'd played the first game a few years earlier and enjoyed it, so I remember being excited when this came out. However, for some reason or another I didn't get around to playing it until 2020. I think I bought it 3 different times, on Steam, Wii U and later the complete edition.

Finally played it in 2020. I'd upgraded my PC and got a nice ultrawidescreen monitor so I was looking for games to play, and for whatever reason this stuck. It was actually good fun, I was surprised at how committed it was to the 3-branches of gameplay (combat, stealth and social). It reminded me a LOT of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines - as if it had been made by the same team who decided to change the setting.

Still, I thought the story was a bit bland and it didn't capture me like the original game. I'm older though, so hard to achieve that. That being said, I did play through the whole game and it took longer than I thought it would. Several times I thought I was near the end only for an entire nother chapter to unfold. You definitely get bang for your buck with this game.
