Atheist writer, whom I came across when looking for videos of Richard Dawkins in 2009 or so, as one of The Four Horsemen. My least favourite of the four, by far - immediately I felt he was too typically what I called 'American'. Appeared in Beyond Belief too and often annoys a lot of people by either making rash digs at Islam or blathering about meditation and spiritual woo. Although he's greatly exalted among atheist discussion online, I tried to read his signature book, The End of Faith, in early 2010 but had to stop and give it a rating of -2. I admit he sometimes makes salient points in debates (although I think they're usually better when quoted than when followed by the rest of his arguments) and I'm glad that there are people arguing the case for atheism in many different ways, but he annoys me deeply.
