BBC(?) drama released in 3-episode seasons, starting in about 2010.

First season release[]

Format[]

On TV with Mum and Sarah, I imagine.

Journal[]

I remember loving at least parts of it, although I can't remember if I had started picking holes in it yet, as in later seasons.

Rating[]

2, probably.

Second season release[]

Format[]

On TV with Mum and Sarah, I imagine.

Journal[]

I think I still mostly loved it, although I'm not the type to get dragged into the LOST-style fanboyism and endless speculation.

Rating[]

2 again?

Third season release (January 2014)[]

Format[]

On TV with Mum and Sarah.

Journal[]

The long-anticipated (it seemed) 3rd season came out at the beginning of 2014. Mum, Sarah and I watched it pretty much as it came out. It had good bits, the first episode in particular I enjoyed greatly to start with, but I started to get a suspicion that the series is trying too hard and pandering to the audience's expectations. That and noticing it was Steven Moffat or whatever of Doctor Who renown are ringing alarms. The second episode in particular was very meh. But the last was pretty good, I admit.

Fourth season (March 2017)[]

Format[]

At my apartment in Osaka with Mum

Journal[]

Watched the first episode shortly after it came out in 2016 and didn't enjoy it, so I didn't watch the rest until March 2017 when Mum was visiting me in Osaka. The second two episodes were actually pretty good. I'm still constantly on the fence about whether things are going well or about to derail, and there are things I would criticise, but it's got some good stuff. The last episode was fascinating from the perspective of AIs in a box.
